The place where coffee farmers find real opportunities
Who we are
We are a coffee-growing family born in the municipality of Betulia, Antioquia, 100 years ago with the need to expand the coffee trade, a task that has been developed for 4 generations, promoting the legacy in our family.
Throughout history, the marketing of coffee is made possible through our Multiactive Cooperative of United Coffee Growers of Colombia ‘CAFEUCOL,’ with the need to exalt the role of women in the coffee industry and thus expand the coffee trade. A dream of a group of associates who aspire to create a fair, inclusive, sustainable coffee commercial environment that highlights and honors the history of tradition and essence of coffee-growing families and their women, who have made the coffee industry an industry full of love and industriousness.
Women in coffee
CAFEUCOL since its beginnings, it has exalted and highlighted the indispensable work of coffee-growing women.
In a commercial alliance with the National Federation of Coffee Growers, the first chain of the C.A.F.E PRACTICES seal was created in Antioquia, composed solely of women in Colombia. This chain comprises 61 small coffee growers from the Southwest of Antioquia and 6 large coffee growers from the department. Additionally, we provide training in gender equality, generational succession, and encourage the hiring of female labor.
Currently, in commercial partnership with different multinationals, the Cooperative markets around 55 to 60 million kilograms per year and leads certified coffee chains in certification seals such as Rainforest Alliance (More information at ra.org), Café Practices, and the 4C Code of Conduct. We constantly update our good agricultural and sustainable practices to ensure the preservation of natural resources and the well-being of our producers, improving the productivity chain of their coffee farms, making them economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable.”
